An all round display from Rohit Sharma helped Deccan Chargers beat Mumbai Indians by 19 runs and are now in third place on the points table. Rohit Sharmas hat-trick was the second of the tournament by a part time bowler, the first being Yuvraj Singh. Chasing a target of 146 for victory Mumbai's chase started badly loosing both openers with 7 runs on the board. It was then left to Duminy(52) and Shah(29) to consolidate. At 103/4 in the 16th over Mumbai were in with a chance to win, but Rohit Sharma did not think so. He pick up 4 wickets in 5 balls and Mumbai were left reeling at 109/8. They ended up with 126/8 in their 20 overs.

Earlier It was Rohit Sharma who did the damage with the bat. He scored 38 and help the Chargers reach a competitive score of 145/6. Gilchrist(25), Suman(20) and Rao(28) all chipped in with valuable runs. The Mumbai bowlers were able to keep the pressure on throught the innings and take wickets at regular intervals.

Mumbai are now in 7th place just ahead of Kolkata. The tournament has reached its halfway stage and almost all teams have a chance of making it into the semies.
