Delhi Daredevils vs Kolkata Knightriders - Match 39 - New Wanderers Johannesburg

Delhi have put the final nail in the coffin ensuring Kolkata will finish at the bottom of this years IPL table. Chasing 124 for victory, Delhi made a solid start but lost 3 wickets including the openers in the space of 14 balls. At 69/3 Kolkata seemed to have an upperhand, but DeVilliers(40) and Kartik(32) got Delhi home comfortably with 7 wickets to spare.

Delhi are again at the top of the table and are favourites for the title, however they have not secured the top berth. In contrast Kolkata are ensured the last spot. Kolkatas bright moment came in the second ball of the innings, which captain McCullum smashed for a six. He was however wrongly given out lbw the next ball. There were no bright moments after that for the Knightriders, they collapsed to 9/3. Just when they seemed to get a partnership going Mishra reduced them from 45/3 to 56/6. Ganguly top scored with 44 and some late hitting from Agarkar(39) took them to a below par 123/8.
