With 102 runs required from 20 overs at a asking run - rate of just 5.15 runs per over Deccan Chargers had it easy with Gibbs, unbeaten on 43 from 26 balls, and Rohit Sharma, 36 from 32 balls, taking them home to a comfortable 8 wicket victory with 6.5 overs to spare. Gilchrist's wicket to Dinda and Laxman's run out were the only consolation to the Kolkatta Knight Riders who otherwise had a terrible match.
